IFCO is a very small organisation with a very small budget, so any help you can give would go a long way.

Our priorities for the period of our strategic plan 2019-2022 are:

  • to develop training for foster and kinship carers;
  • to engage with care experienced young people to give them a greater voice;
  • to influence policy and practice in the field of foster care in any international forum we can.

Any donation would help our work to achieve these objectives.

The Pat Whelan Fund was established in memory of one of IFCO’s volunteer members. IFCO uses the Pat Whelan Fund to give financial help to care-experienced youth members to attend an IFCO international conference. Since 2007, through generous individual and corporate donations, young people in care and care leavers from various parts of the world have been able to attend IFCO conferences. Here they meet other young people, adults and decision makers and contribute their insight to IFCO’s work.
