IFCO 2021 – Empowering family-based care for every child around the world
International Foster Care Organisation (IFCO) marks 40 years since a small group of foster carers came together to form the first International Conference of its kind. Forty years on, we are hosting our first Virtual International Conference where we will connect with International speakers, Carers, Careleavers, Academics, Social workers and Professionals to explore the theme of this year’s conference together. The emphasis will be to share, exchange, and learn from each other. The aim of the conference is to offer a balanced and inspiring programme, focusing on best practice, informed policies, and children’s rights in the context of a global pandemic that has ‘shone a light’ on the issues facing carers and children alike for decades.
We invite you to join us to celebrate IFCO’s heritage and influence over the last 40 years, support our fundraising activities to advocate for family-based care, and empower IFCO to amplify the voice of those involved in family-based care for children and those that have left care, around the world.

In celebration of IFCO’s values and our 40th Anniversary, we are offering 40 complimentary tickets to foster/ kinship carers on each day (Monday and Tuesday). Care leavers also attend for free.
